SANDRA! She is amazing. Let me start this review from the beginning. I went to Donato Don Mills for the first time a few months ago and had a fantastic facial from Jamie. Unfortunately, on my way out I had an extremely poor experience with the male at the front desk. After this exchange, I emailed the manager Ashley, and she was so apologetic,kind and professional. She offered me a complimentary facial and of course I accepted. I booked my facial for my birthday and ended up getting a call back letting me know Jamie was no longer there, and therefore I couldn't get a facial. They explained that Ashley had allowed for me to pick any service/services that would be equivalent to the facial. So I booked a hair moisture treatment, trim, and blow out. I have long thick hair that I am super picky about it, after I cut it into a Pixie and have been growing it back. I was a little nervous to go to someone new but SANDRA, oh Sandra, she did not disappoint. She listened to what I had to say, asked questions, showed me what she was going to cut before she did it and did a phenomenal job. She was quick, but took her time with details. Thank you Sandra, my hair feels so healthy!! Also, there were two different ladies at the front desk this time and they were phenomenal. Super kind, professional and attentive.

My experience at Donato was amazing! The salon itself is stunning and the staff are very friendly. I got my hair balayaged by Tashana who was super lovely and thoroughly explained what was realistically achievable for my hair since I had box dyed it previously. I then had my hair cut and styled by Fresh who absolutely great! She took her time to make sure I was comfortable and really listened and executed what I asked for. Both these ladies were very knowledgeable and exceeded my expectations, I will be back and 100% recommend them!

My experience at Donato Salon (Shops of Don Mills) with Tashana was amazing and so luxurious. Tashana did my highlights and hair colour. She's absolutely wonderful and made my experience so great. Tashana chose the perfect shade of colour and highlights for my skin tone and she executed on what I wanted. Her shampoo and hair colour techniques were so smooth and relaxing. I appreciate her customer service and the way she treated me. I will only be going to Tashana from now on. Ivy did my blow-dry and she was super gentle and styled my hair perfectly. Thank you Donato Salon for the most amazing hair experience. I look forward to my next appointment.

It is interesting, sad, etc. that after all the years at Shops At Don Mills, Salon Donato don't think enough about their long term clients to inform them that they were closing the doors as of 25-Nov-2023, with no notice no nothing - we are left to find out after the fact - it seems based on their website that they think we'll book at one of their other locations - but where is my stylist - they don't even say they have closed the Shops At Don Mills Location. I had to select a star to post this - it has nothing to do with the service I received from my Stylist at this location.

Disgusting!! The hairdresser throughout the whole process was not listening to my desires and wanted to do the hair the way she thought would look nice ignoring my needs. At the end I asked for extra layers. She then got upset cause she didn’t want to do the layers and chopped a chunk of my hair unevenly on purpose. She didn’t even finish the blow dry properly. So unprofessional and rude. She had short temper, no patience and no interest to listen to her clients needs at all. If I could give 0 stars I would. Make yourself a favour and never go to that place they will destroy your hair.

Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience here. The stylist burned my hair with hot tools and caused so much damage that my natural hair has not recovered a week later. I had asked for a simple blow out with curls and instead the stylist attempted to do a more complicated style. I ended up having stiff, straight hair that smelled burnt - on my wedding day. She meant well, but she did not communicate and clearly did not have the skills to do my hair well or even prevent damage. I am extremely disappointed, especially given I had a previous experience that was good (with Viki). It's just not what I except from an upscale salon, and now I am left to deal with the damage they have caused.

Horrible experience the mutilated my hair . The persons name was Fresh run far away from this woman . Not only did she butcher my hair , I told her several times she was going to short , then she just started taking chunks out of the back with a razor . New hairdresser said there nothing that can be done until it grows out a bit., she was horrible afterwards trying to blame me. Ben there own receptionist said it looked bad and nothing like I requested.
